Trade marks and Amazon and Trademarks

As well as not paying hardly any UK tax Amazon can also be facilitating the infringement of your trade marks or designs.

In short according to Marketplace Pulse, an e-commerce analyst, has warned that Amazon is "plagued" with counterfeit goods.

It is based on the fact that a quarter of marketplace sellers on were based in China and used Amazon's delivery services to distribute their goods.

Now this could be seen to be China bashing but estimates suggest that as much as 85% of the world's counterfeit products are made in China. That said Amazon is trying and it does offer some useful tools, not least

Amazon's policy states "If you are a rights owner with a registered trademark, you may be eligible to enroll your brand in the Amazon Brand Registry. Amazon Brand Registry provides access to powerful tools including proprietary text and image search, predictive automation based on your reports of suspected intellectual property rights violations, and increased authority over product listings with your brand name.
